A couple of weeks ago, I met with this fantastic couple for their engagement photos.  The weather hadn’t been too kind to us for our previously scheduled sessions but I guess the third times a charm.  The weather was fantastic and I couldn’t have asked for it to be any better.  This couple was so much fun to be with and there was so much joking around and laughing.  It wasn’t like a session but more like hanging out with old friends.  I can’t wait to photograph their wedding in October!  I know I’m definitely going to have a blast!!!

I’m finally getting around to blogging about these images.  I was able to capture these sweet images of this family a couple of weeks ago at the American Tobacco Campus in downtown Durham, NC.  I cannot say how adorably sweet this family was!  It’s hard to believe that they are a “new” family about to start a new life together.  They just seemed so in sync with one another and just so comfortable.  And J-Dad was just smitten by the two new girls in his life.  He really couldn’t keep his eyes off of either of his ladies.

This family will be traveling to Greece shortly to exchange their vows on the coast.  Seriously if I could fit myself into their luggage I would.  They are going to have a fantastic wedding and unbelievable time there!!!!

I wish them all the best of luck and I had a wonderful time with

them.

I met up with this absolutely adorable couple a couple of weeks ago.  We decided to take their pictures in downtown Raleigh.  I had so much fun working with them.  They were so in love and had no problem showing it in front of the camera.  I think the pictures alone speaks how much they love each other.  It was a pleasure working with you and I wish

you the best of luck.

I finished my last session of the year last week.  I was going back through all of my images from this past year  for my client appreciation contest, and I realized I am just so super lucky!  I have just about the best job in the world.  I get to do something that I love and I’m actually excited for each and every session that I do.  My clients really are the best.  The support and referrals that I’ve received this year have been absolutely amazing!!!  I love capturing the fleeting smiles and the occasional pout.  The quiet moments where you forget I’m there with a camera and a sly smile will emerge.  The times where the kids are just acting like kids- funny faces, running around, knock knock jokes, and looking for that infamous cartoon character in my camera lens.  BEST-OF-KIMBERLEE-EDWARDS-PHOTOGRAPHYBEST-OF-KIMBERLEE-EDWARDS-PHOTOGRAPHYBEST-OF-KIMBERLEE-EDWARDS-PHOTOGRAPHYBEST-OF-KIMBERLEE-EDWARDS-PHOTOGRAPHYI just want to say thank you, thank you, thank you.  I’m looking forward to 2011 and seeing how your family has changed.

I met with Amber and JD this weekend for their engagement session.  I was so excited to work with them.  They are a gorgeous couple!  Just about as sweet as can be.  You can just see how much they love one another in the little gestures they did for one another.  I think some of my favorite moments were when they didn’t realize that I was watching them.  I loved seeing how tenderly JD helped Amber climb the rocks down by the mill and when they held hands walking around the park.

I cannot wait to work with you in June!  I hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

Autumn (my wedding photography partner) and I met with S and J this past Sunday for their engagement session.  The last time we had met with them was to discuss photographing their wedding.  The funny things was that they weren’t exactly engaged

yet.  S told Autumn and I all about his magical plans to propose to J.  His proposal included a scavenger hunt leading to a plane ride to New York City and ending at a proposal at the top of the Empire State building.  It just sounded so romantic to us!  They are now officially engaged.

They wanted to have their pictures taken at the Bell Tower on NC State’s campus.  It was a hot and muggy morning and despite their children not exactly wanting to be there, I would say the session was a success.  Congrats again S and J on the engagement and we cannot wait until December.

I met with Jaime last week to discuss wedding photography.  I was so thrilled that she booked me on the spot.  Jaime and her fiance Chris will be tying the knot next month.  During the wedding consultation we discussed having some engagement pictures taken that are to be used at the wedding.  We booked today’s date and time but were unsure of the location when we left.  I was thrilled this week when I saw that the azalea blossoms were starting to bud.  I knew exactly where we would hold the engagement session.  We would head on over to the WRAL Azalea gardens.  It was absolutely gorgeous there!!!!  They have about every color of azalea plant along with pansies, snowball bush and dahlias.  Just an explosion of color!

Jaime and Chris both said that they don’t like having to have their picture taken.  Once they warmed up and got used to listening to myself and my partner, Autumn Harrison of Reminiscing Moments, they seemed like old pros.

Thanks again Jaime and Chris.  I am really looking forward to May and hope you enjoy your sneak peek.

I got a call earlier this week from K.  She is getting married on Labor Day this year and realized that it’s time for her to have her save the date magnet made.  Lucky for me, one of her friends recommended her to me.  I’m telling you.  I have the hands down, world’s best clients and Facebook fans!  I am getting referrals left and right.

Anyway, I met with K and her fiance J today at the location where their wedding and reception will be held.  The venue is absolutely lovely as is the couple.  They will be getting married at the Rosedale Plantation in Smithfield, NC. I think they had a great idea to have their engagement pictures taken at the same location as where their wedding will be held.  I had a great time meeting with both K and J.  I hope you enjoy the sneak peek.
